Perform wound debridement using sharp, enzymatic, and autolytic methods. Apply and manage topical wound care and related wound management products. Conduct risk assessments for diabetic foot ulcers in patients with diabetes, following ADA guidelines. Recommend and coordinate additional services to enhance wound healing outcomes, including laboratory tests, radiologic examinations, vascular assessments, referrals, home health care, VAC devices, and/or orthotics. Interpret diagnostic tests and suggest appropriate follow-up actions. Prescribe necessary medications and/or durable medical equipment (DME) to support wound healing and prevention.
