About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President, General Manager to oversee and enhance the operational and financial performance of its media and advertising business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the enterprise, with a focus on increasing news and programming ratings and market revenue. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in management within a broadcasting company, particularly in the areas of sales, advertising, media, promotions, news, and finance. The SVP, General Manager will be expected to provide strong leadership, set and achieve performance goals, and ensure the implementation of sound policies and systems in line with the company's corporate standards. Key responsibilities for the SVP, General Manager include directing day-to-day operations, overseeing the performance of department heads, and maintaining a strong financial position for the business. The role also involves developing and executing marketing strategies, fostering community relationships, and maintaining a challenging yet supportive work environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player with excellent people skills, capable of rapidly establishing credibility and respect, and will be expected to be a tough but fair negotiator with impeccable integrity. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred, and the role requires travel both within and outside the local market.
