Position Overview:

The Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of credit relationships in the Private Equity Sponsor Finance Group – including overseeing the gathering, analyzing and underwriting private equity-owned business for the purpose of issuing, extending, amending, reviewing, monitoring and testing a commercial credit facility. The Employee is expected to liaise between all parties to ensure timely and efficient analysis that meets the expectations of the Borrowers, Lenders and Administration Team. This position is located in Northbrook with 4 days in-office and 1 day working remotely.

• Receipt and review of financial reporting, financial statement analysis, and ongoing Review of account performance.

• Early identification and mitigation of portfolio risk through quarterly leveraged lending reviews, annual reviews, and quarterly covenant testing.

• Preparation of Wintrust internal credit approvals, including, but not limited to, due diligence review, pre-flight memo presentations, and internal credit committee presentations.

• Assist the relationship managers in ongoing account maintenance, such as, treasury management, operations, derivatives, and international requests.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required (Finance, Economics or Accounting)

• Formal Credit Training; preferred

• 5 years of financial services experience

• 2-4 years of relevant experience

• Experience in Portfolio Management a plus
