Job Description

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Oracle Database Administrator to work for our company.

Summary:

• Client Agency is Defense Logistics Agency.
• Must have an ACTIVE U.S. Government SECRET Clearance. (Sponsorship will not be provided)
• Will be an expert in particular business processes, responsible for formulating systems scope and objectives relative to the organization's business plan and industry requirements. Will act as a member of a project team responsible for providing technical guidance concerning the business implications of the application of various systems

Requirements:

• Must have an ACTIVE U.S. Government SECRET Clearance. (Sponsorship will not be provided)
• Must have an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Certification.
• Must have one of the following certifications: AWS CDB Specialty, AWS CSA Associate, AWS CSA Professional, AWS CS Specialty, AWS CSO Admin Associate, IBM DB2, IBM DB2 for LUW, IBM SD RPT, MCA: DS, MCA: SQL Server, MC: Azure DBAA, MC: Azure SEA, MC: Azure SAE, MCM: SQL Server 2008, MCM: Server 2008R2, MCSA: SQL 2016 DBA, MCSE: WS2012, MCSE: WS2016, OCP DB, OCP SA, OCI Foundations 2020.
• Must have 3+ years DLA Financial Website experience.
• Must have 3+ years of DLA Audit Readiness & Reconciliation experience.
• Must have 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be willing and able to support on-site meetings at Fort Belvoir, VA as needed.

Programming & Scripting

• Experience with Java, Python, WebLogic Scripting, Linux Shell scripting (Bash, Korn), C#, HTML/JavaScript, and VB.
• Skilled in using development tools like JDeveloper and Eclipse IDEs.

Database Management & Data Modeling

• Proficient in Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Loader, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and data access optimization.
• Experience in analytical databases for large-scale applications, data mart population, and dimensional models (aggregation, partitioning, indexing).
• Skilled in data modeling using tools like Erwin for developing and documenting logical and physical data models for Oracle instances.
• Hands-on with physical database design, performance tuning, backup/recovery scenarios, and data integrity implementation.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL, PL/SQL, and upgrading major Oracle releases.
• Proficient in data ETL processes into Oracle databases on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows systems.

System Administration & Security

• Experience with database tasks and administration on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments.
• Skilled in Oracle security management and applying Oracle Critical Patch Updates.
• Hands-on experience with ArcSight and Splunk for security and monitoring.
• Knowledgeable in data warehousing and modern Oracle database features.

Project Management & Compliance

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Extensive understanding of assistive technology tools like JAWS, ZoomText, Dragon, and Axe Monitoring.
• Ability to code to Section 508 compliance standards, ensuring accessibility in software development.

Preferences:

• Hands-on experience with Source Control tools such as GIT.
• Working knowledge and experience with Visual Basic, Oracle PL/SQL, Java, Java Scripting, Oracle (Current version) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
