Accounting Specialist

LHH is hiring for a Accounting specialist in the Lake Worth, FL area. Our client is looking for an accounting specialist with a strong background in accounts receivable along with general accounting. This position is a contracted role that is working fully in office.

You are a great fit if:

· Non profit accounting experience a plus

· General accounting and accounts receivable experience

· Good excel skills

· Degree in accounting or finance

 

Responsibilities to include:

· Receives all cash receipts, accounts receivable receipts, event receipts, rents, tuition payments, foundation checks, contributions, ticket sales, facilities coins, and all other checks

· Responsible for proper GL, Program, Sub-Program, Client coding of all cash receipts

· Deposits and transfers of all cash receipts into the applicable bank account

· Responsible for posting all cash receipts into the accounting system

· Responsible for monthly reconciliations of Rental Income, Escrow, Security Deposit, Tuition schedules, investigate discrepancies between schedules and GL detail and prepare necessary correcting entries for DOF to review and post

· Responsible for Escrow Accounts allocating deposits, disbursements into sub-accounts and refunds to clients

· Maintain Accounts Receivable Aging and Detail schedule. Provide monthly report to DOF for month end close

· Prepare invoices for monthly billable grants

· Responsible for entering cash receipt information into Events Register, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation to the GL on a monthly basis

· Check safe boxes each day for payments, ensuring timely deposit

· Assist DOF and Accounting Manager with month end close duties not previously described

· Utilize Excel and software skills to improve processes

 

This position is a contracted role that will pay $22-$25/hr. Please apply today
