**Description**
****POSITION SUMMARY:**Responsible for transporting several types of construction equipment and materials to and from jobsites and back to the shop and storage yard locations.**
****ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:****
* Load and unload equipment and materials
* Secure loads, is aware of load limits (weights)
* Vehicle and equipment maintenance
* Haul counterweights for cranes
* Haul misc. construction equipment from 80,000 GVRW 260,000 GVRW
* Be able to safely operate 4-9 axle trailer configurations
* Ensure safety procedures are always adhered to
* Communicate equipment and material issues between the office/shop/jobsite
* Daily inspection of truck
* Obtain required permits with help of Transportation Specialist
* Maintain a safe driving record
* Handle basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with fuel, checking oil, keeping it clean and making sure required inspections are performed
* Advise Shop Manager if trucks need major repairs and maintenance

****EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:****
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
* Previous experience with transporting construction equipment and materials
* Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License, Double/triple endorsement
* Previous experience with 4-9 axle trailer configurations
* Previous experience with 4 axle heavy haul truck
****KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:****
* Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzeks Zero Injury principles
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
* Previous experience with transporting construction equipment and materials
* Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
* Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
* Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places and extreme heat
* Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration
* Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
